In the 2025 Federal election 1,889,977 Australians gave the Greens their first preference vote. Our beautiful Sutherland catchment area covers the Federal electorates of Hughes and Cook. In Hughes 11,221 people gave the Greens their first preference. In Cook, 10,575 people supported us as their first choice. We're all seeking to create a better world today.
At State level, we cover the electorates of Heathcote, Miranda, part of Holsworthy, and Cronulla. At the 2023 State government election 455,960 people across NSW gave their first preferences to the Greens. We were delighted to poll up to 34% first preference at some booths in our state seat of Heathcote.
More and more people are realising the need for change. Unlike the Liberal National Coalition and Labor, we don't accept donations from corporates or big business. All of our wins have been led by people who've stepped up to make a difference.

Greens policies and practices are focused on four basic principles:
Environmental sustainability;
Social and economic justice;
Peace and non-violence;
Grassroots democracy.
Drawing on these guiding principles, members can help shape our policies, and be part of a movement for a more compassionate society and a sustainable world. We'd love you to join us! Membership is just $5 for people under 25.
